Construction works on the Nseluka -Kayambi road in Northern Province have resumed after the ministry of Finance secured some funds for the contractor.
This follows complaints from Malole Member of Parliament Christopher Yaluma who expressed disappointment on the delays in the completion of the road.
Speaking to ZNBC news in Lusaka, Northern Province Minister Brian Mundubile said other works that have resumed are on the Chambeshi – Kasama road being done by China Geo.
Mr. Mundubile said government is not sitting idle but looking at other funding options for the Nseluka -Kayambi road and Chambeshi – Kasama road among others.
He said the Provincial administration is still in talks with the Ministry of Finance and the Road Development Agency for more funding for the projects.
Mr. Mundubile however thanked the people of Northern Province for their patience and supporting government efforts to develop the region.
